Engine Sound Pack v1.0 by Jon Warrell a.k.a. Cascadia

These engine sounds are all standalone, which means they will absolutely NOT interfere with any SCS sounds possibly being replaced.

The engine sounds are specified as follows:

AA Sound:

This sound was recorded by SCS Software for 18 Wheels of steel Across America (AA) and was modified with realistic changes, including a turbo whistle and new airbrake sounds.
How to use:
Open folder path vehicle/truck/definition in a select scs file of a truck and extract the sii of the truck you want to have the sound.
Open the sii and observe the following lines:
sdata_ext: sound.0.ext
sdata_int: sound.0.int
These lines could be a different number. But in this example, change the number "0" to "aa"
Save the sii and repack with winzip or winrar and make the compression method "none" or "store"
Place the file "AA Engine Sound.scs" in your mod folder.

This sound was recorded by me from a video posted on a website and altered to sound more realistic, with an addition of a turbo whistle.
How to use:
Open folder path vehicle/truck/definition in a select scs file of a truck and extract the sii of the truck you want to have the sound.
Open the sii and observe the following lines:
sdata_ext: sound.0.ext
sdata_int: sound.0.int
These lines could be a different number. But in this example, change the number "0" to "cat"
Save the sii and repack with winzip or winrar and make the compression method "none" or "store"
Place the file "CAT Sound.scs" in your mod folder.

Ok i decided to mess around with the default WOS haulin' textures...




Credits go to:
ivan for the skybox and the sun/env_data.sii, SCS and bayonet for the textures and me (bra2s) for adjusting it for haulin (brightness / contrast, etc.)

Place the skybox.scs in the mod folder and try not to piss yourself off with the great sunrise and sunset views

P.S. make sure you deleted the files related to skybox in other mod files!!!
P.S. this mod DOES NOT work properly with ALH or ETS or any other game unless you do some changes!!!

Realistic Truck Sounds Mod by Cascadia

These sounds were taken from Youtube, 18 Wheels of Steel Across America, and 18 Wheels of Steel Pedal to the Metal.

Installation:
Take the Realistic truck sounds.scs out of this zip archive and put it in your My Documents\18 WoS Haulin(or American Long HAul)\mod folder.

You may NOT host this mod on any other sites. I am not giving permission to you to host this mod on your site.

Realistic Truck Sounds Version 1.2 By Cascadia




This version is the same as the other, except the turbo whistle was changed, the Cummins Idle sound was changed, and the sounds are placed in separate folders so that they don't replace the SCS sounds directly, but through an sii file. This prevents interfering with the SCS sounds that some people use for their modded trucks, which causes the sounds to sometimes not sound right. I have had this problem before.

All credit goes to me and SCS Software.

To install, place the file "Realistic Truck Sounds V1.2.scs" in your mod folder. If you have my previous version, then delete that.

Cat Straight Pipe Sound

This is a jake brake sound mod for 18wos Haulin. Its my first sound mod so dont get mad if it isnt the quality you'd think.

Installation:

1. Extract the 2 ogg files to your desktop.
2. Go into your sound folder.
3. Locate your jake sound (usually jake_int/ext or Jakec15).
4. Rename the files in this mod to correspond with the jake brake names inside your sound folder.
5. Repack and drive!


Recommended downloads:

OGG codec for Windows Media Player. This will allow you to double click on any ogg file and it'll play in WMP. (You'll need to set it so WMP opens it up). All you do is install and play the sound.
